    Connecting creates an API key just for Claude, with the daily cap and privacy mode you choose. Every paid call reports its exact charge, and revoking the key disconnects Claude at once.

Install

Pick your Claude

Claude Code

In the terminal, the IDE or the desktop app:

  1. Add the Tokentide marketplace:

    /plugin marketplace add mds-main/tokentide-plugins

  2. Install the plugin:

    /plugin install tokentide@tokentide

  3. Run /mcp, choose tokentide and sign in to Tokentide.

Claude apps

On claude.ai, the desktop app or Cowork:

  1. Open Customize > Plugins.

  2. Choose Add marketplace and enter:

    mds-main/tokentide-plugins

  3. Install Tokentide, then open its Connectors tab and connect it.

  4. Sign in to Tokentide, pick a daily cap and allow the connection.

On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner adds the marketplace and the connector for the organization first; members then connect their own Tokentide account.

Video skill

Before your first video

The skill runs Python and FFmpeg in Claude's code environment and calls the Tokentide API with a key of yours.

  1. Create an API key with privacy mode all (or private_text, which keeps text models private) and a daily cap. Background removal, most premium image-edit and video models, and every music model are anonymized.

  2. In Claude Code, set the key in your shell before you start Claude:

    export TOKENTIDE_API_KEY=tt_live_…

  3. In the Claude apps, turn on code execution and allow network access to api.tokentide.app in Settings > Capabilities (on Team and Enterprise, an Owner allows it). Give Claude the key when the skill asks; uploading it as a file keeps it out of the chat.

  4. The skill checks the rest itself (Python, FFmpeg, fonts, your balance and limits) and says how to fix anything missing.

Questions

Does it cost anything?

Installing and connecting are free, and so are the pricing, market, model, account and usage tools. Chat, embeddings, decisions, images and the video skill's generations are billed to your Tokentide balance at the live tide price, within the caps you set.

What can Claude see?

Only what its tools return: prices, models, your balance and usage metadata, and the results of the requests you ask it to run. Tokentide never stores prompts or outputs.

How do I disconnect Claude?

Remove the connector in Claude, or revoke its key under Dashboard > API keys. Revoking ends the connection at once.

Is it in Claude's directory?

Not yet. Install the plugin from Tokentide's marketplace or add the connector by URL: either takes about a minute.
